TCS Digital Library

Verner students can download audiobooks and eBooks from the Tuscaloosa City Schools’ digital website, https://tuscaloosasdal.libraryreserve.com/10/45/en/SignIn.htm?url=Default.htm – anytime, anywhere. The Overdrive subscription is funded by the Tuscaloosa City Schools and students throughout the system have access to the Overdrive digital library.

To get started, navigate to the URL above. Log into our digital library by typing your user name (which is your state ID number) and your PIN (which is your last name, not capitalized).

You can browse the collection, check out books (limit 2), and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. To get started, you will need to install free software. For audiobooks: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, you’ll need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. Step-by-step instructions for each type of device are available on the site by clicking “HELP” under “Getting Started” on the right side and then selecting the “My Help” link.

In addition to free book borrowing, you will also notice a “Buy it Now” feature for every title in our digital library and on the left side bar under “Help our library WIN!” Any purchases made through the OverDrive site will benefit the Verner Library.

With hundreds of titles to choose from, the new collection is guaranteed to have something for everyone. This service is free to Verner students.

We hope you enjoy the Tuscaloosa City Schools Digital Library!

PARENTS: As you browse through our titles, you will notice that most of the books have been assigned a grade level range, K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Keep in mind that these levels are determined from information provided by the book publishers. It is important to remember that our audience is Kindergarten through 8th grade. Not every book is appropriate for every child. Family standards vary widely. Therefore, the best thing parents can do is set the standards for their own children and offer guidance.

If you have questions or need assistance regarding your student’s log-in information, please contact Verner Librarian Alice Russell (arussell@tusc.k12.al.us).
