Verner Weekly: Blood Drive Tomorrow…And Much Much More!

American Red Cross Blood Drive is TOMORROW!

The American Red Cross Needs YOUR help!  Please consider giving blood at the Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, May 1st between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:30 pm.  The mobile blood bus will be parked right outside of Verner!  How easy and convenient is that???  We would LOVE to have 50 donors registered and there are still spaces available!  You can schedule your appointment by simply going to www.redcrossblood.org and use the keyword “Verner.”

Urban Cookhouse Spirit Night

When: Monday, May 8th 4:30-8:00

Verner will receive 10% of sales for the evening.

*Takeouts are included.  Just tell them you are supporting Verner!*

PTA Meeting: Tuesday, May 16th @ 6:00 p.m.

Come attend our last meeting of the school year!

Spring Fling was a World of an Adventure! Verner’s 2016 Spring Fling was a wonderful event that all of our students enjoyed. We would like to thank EVERYONE that made it possible:

It’s Spring Fling Time!! Volunteers Needed.

Verner’s annual Spring Fling event will be held Friday, May 20, and our Spring Fling Committee is hard at work to make it another year to remember. Our students look forward to this event all year and it is a wonderful way to reward them for all of their hard work during the school year. Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Volunteers are needed during two shifts (morning and afternoon) to work different booths and stations. If you volunteer to work both shifts, lunch will be provided! (If you plan to walk with K, 1st or 2nd in the afternoon, please coordinate that directly with your child’s teacher.)

K, 1st & 2nd Schedule

  • Field Day              8:30 am-11:00 am
  • Lunch                  11:00 am-12:00
  • Spring Fling   12:00 pm-2:25 pm

3rd , 4th & 5th Schedule

  • Spring Fling   8:30 am-11:00 am
  • Lunch                11:00 am-12:00
  • Field Day          12:00 pm-2:25 pm

Please return the volunteer form that was sent home with students or you can access the form at the link below. You may also email Spring Fling Chair Mary Virginia Best (bbmvbest@att.net) to let her know which shift(s) you want to work.
