Tuesday, August 28th – PTA Open House
Visit your child’s classroom, meet their teachers, and begin the parent/teacher relationship. You will learn about the plans and expectations for the 2018-2019 school year and opportunities to volunteer.
The schedule is as follows:
5:30-6:15 Classrooms visits for pre-k, K, 1, 2nd
6:30-7:00 General PTA meeting in multi-purpose room for parents in all grades.
7:15-8:00 Classroom visits in 3rd, 4th, and 5th
If you have more than one child with the same visitation schedule, the teachers will be available during both hours.
This is NOT an event that should include children – we will not have child care available. Hopefully, you have time to make arrangements for your children to remain at home.
**If you have not had a chance to sign up for the VIP Program, there will be a table set-up where you may learn more and become part of this great opportunity!**

Verner’s VIP campaign is in full swing and we want every Verner family to join us! VIP (Verner Improvement Program) is our PTA’s investment/fundraising program. Parents, grandparents and other supporters can make a one-time, tax-deductible donation that goes directly towards helping Verner and its students.
Join today through one of three easy options:
- Pay your $150 donation via the PayPal link located at the bottom of the page;
- Complete a Verner VIP Donation Letter/Form (link located at the bottom of this page) and return along with your donation (check or cash) to Verner; OR
- Complete a Verner VIP Donation Letter/Form and return along with your credit card information (card number, name on card, expiration date, 3-digit security code on back).
PTA Committee
Verner NEEDS you! Verner Elementary PTA has many opportunities for you to make a difference in our school and in the lives of our children. Our PTA Committees represent different areas of interest and time commitments. A PTA Committee Descriptions form was sent home in your child’s folder last week. If you have interest in one of the committees, please fill and return to school. Thank you for your time and contribution to our school, our teachers and most importantly our children – YOU will help make this school year GREAT!
Box Tops
The yearly Verner classroom Box Tops competition is kicking off again! The classroom that turns in the most Box Tops will win a pizza and popsicles party! Clip your Box Tops and turn them in to the mailbox in a Ziploc baggie with your child’s teacher’s name. Deadline for Box Tops is October 5th.
