Mark your calendar for the upcoming events over the next month!

Tuesday, October 24th 6:00 pm–  PTA meeting; Kindergarten and 2nd grade to perform “Boo-tiful” Music

Monday, November 6th– 11:00 am to 9:00 pm– Verner Spirit Day/Night at Newk’s.  20% of proceeds come back to Verner!

Tuesday, November 14th – 6:00-7:00 pm  Family Counseling Service invites you to a seminar on “Aggression: What to do if your child begins to show the signs of becoming a bully?” The presentation will be held at FCS, 2020 Paul W. Bryant Drive.  Visit www.counselingservice.org for more information

Verner Weekly: Box Tops and PTA Meeting

Box Tops:

Plan to turn in all of those clipped and counted Box Tops that you have collected all summer. The class that turns in the most Box Tops will be treated to a pizza and popsicle party! Contest starts next Tuesday, September 5th – October 6th.

Please neatly clip your tops and put them in a Ziploc with your child’s name, grade and homeroom teacher on the bag.  Also, make sure the Box Tops aren’t expired!

PTA Meeting:

Please note on your calendars that the PTA Open House is Thursday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. This is a great time to learn more about events at Verner and to learn about ways you can support and volunteer throughout the school year!

Please note on your calendars that the PTA Open House is Thursday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. This is a great time to learn more about events at Verner and to learn about ways you can support and volunteer throughout the school year!

 

Also, Verner’s VIP campaign is in full swing and we want every Verner family to join us! VIP (Verner Improvement Program) is our PTA’s investment/fundraising program. Parents, grandparents and other supporters can make a one-time, tax-deductible donation that goes directly towards helping Verner and its students.

Join today through one of three easy options:

  • Pay your $150 donation via the PayPal link located at the bottom of the page;
  • Complete a Verner VIP Donation Letter/Form  (link located at the bottom of this page) and return along with your donation (check or cash) to Verner; OR
  • Complete a Verner VIP Donation Letter/Form and return along with your credit card information (card number, name on card, expiration date, 3-digit security code on back).

Verner Weekly: RQMS Mixer, PTA Meeting and Spring Fling!

RQMS Q&A Session: Tuesday, May 16th 3:30-4:30 @ RQ Cafeteria

Please make plans to attend this Question and Answer session while your kids are attending the Rock Quarry/Verner Mixer! There will be a panel of current 6th grade parents to answer any questions you may have regarding “How Things Work in Middle School” Mrs. Ingram (Principle) and Mrs. Thompson (Guidance Counselor) and a current 6th grade teacher will also be there to help answer questions!

PTA Meeting: Tuesday, May 16th @ 6:00 p.m.

Come attend our last meeting of the school year! Becca Gardner from Druid City Garden Project will be wrapping up our year!  Also, come watch the 3rd grade play!

Spring Fling: Monday, May 22nd

Verner Weekly: Blood Drive Tomorrow…And Much Much More!

American Red Cross Blood Drive is TOMORROW!

The American Red Cross Needs YOUR help!  Please consider giving blood at the Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, May 1st between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:30 pm.  The mobile blood bus will be parked right outside of Verner!  How easy and convenient is that???  We would LOVE to have 50 donors registered and there are still spaces available!  You can schedule your appointment by simply going to www.redcrossblood.org and use the keyword “Verner.”

Urban Cookhouse Spirit Night

When: Monday, May 8th 4:30-8:00

Verner will receive 10% of sales for the evening.

*Takeouts are included.  Just tell them you are supporting Verner!*
